Dogtown East 08:45

about

This recording captures the atmosphere of a very dark and cold 2002 winter in Brooklyn, with nods to N.Y.C graffiti lore and noir film music.
This is one night of a weekly series curated by Ben Perowsky called "Beatshop" which featured special guests from various projects including Oren Bloedow & Jennifer Charles from Elysian Fields, Jamie Saft, Danny Blume, Glenn Patscha, Markus Miller and more. It was recorded live in the lobby of what was called North Six on N6th st now called Music Hall of Williamsburg that was then a very large cement box with beautiful natural reverb. After releasing this record, Ben was asked to play on the Brooklyn's Finest movie soundtrack which was inspired by sounds created on this recording. The song Dogtown East is the foundation for a song co - written with TK Wonder to be released later this year.

This record is meant to be listened to in a seamless fashion with no space in between tracks.
